About Tony Keller
Tony Keller practised family law and civil litigation for almost 43 years. He acted as trial counsel in hundreds of family law trials, motions and appeals. He has participated in dozens of mediations and mediation/arbitrations. He is a husband, father and grandfather with both professional and personal experience dealing with the complicated scenarios of reconciliation, separation, and divorce. In writing Cut the Crap + Make the Deal, Tony taps into more than four decades of personal experience and interaction with divorcing couples.
Tony earned his LLB from the University of Windsor in 1974 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1976. He began his law practice in Kitchener in 1976, continuing until his retirement, January 1, 2019. He became a member of the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Ontario in December, 1992. Currently, he serves as counsel to Madorin, Snyder LLP, Barristers and Solicitors, in Kitchener, Ontario. He remains a member of the Waterloo Law Association.
Tony's most important current personal activities include grandfathering, golf, photography, writing and woodworking. Tony wrote Cut the Crap + Make the Deal to help people at every stage of pre-marital and post-marital or common-law relationships make informed, unemotional, and cost-effective decisions on issues ranging from negotiating cohabitation agreements, parenting after separation, child and spousal support, division of property, and the interstices of the complex and expensive court process.
